Storyteller

Heath Hamrick is a writer, educator, and media creator who makes history unforgettable.

From turning classrooms into immersive simulations to scripting sharp political satire, Heath blends storytelling, scholarship, and just the right dose of mischief. He’s the mind behind Heath the History Guy and the creative force behind dozens of projects spanning YouTube, print media, educational games, and curriculum design. Whether he’s reimagining how we teach, crafting a story that sticks, or building the next great idea from the ground up, Heath believes in the power of narrative to educate, entertain, and inspire.

Almost thirty years ago, a scraggly tree on the outskirts of a dying Texas coal mining town called Bremond inspired the name of a company dedicated to a simple goal: telling a good story. Well, to be perfectly honest, it was a tree and a song Heath liked from a band that has long since stopped recording new material. Don’t you find that a song, a symbol, and a mission are all anyone needs to get the creative juices flowing?

Since 2001, Heath and Texas Winter Media have embraced the goal of telling stories, from books to educational videos to video games. Texas Winter Media also works with clients to bring their stories to life, whether that involves creating the perfect logo, developing a digital ad campaign, or crafting a narrative video.
